CHQ CRP Base?
 

How/why does this work as a base, since the only flight out of there is to IAH? Do most guys end up starting their trips in IAH? My apologies if this has been covered before.

If you're based in CRP, your trips start and end in CRP. Why it's a base...god only knows. However, since the only city it does serve is IAH, it can't stay open too much longer per the contract...

I think CRP is gone soon. only 15 or so hard lines out of there right now which is below the required to stay open. No idea if they will keep mx or the hangars they have. I'm sure the hangar situation in IAH has a 10year + waiting list or something ridiculous. This fact might be the only thing keeping this base open until the CRJ's are finally gone.
I looked at the pairings and every day of every trip has a stop in IAH, but not necessicarily an overnight in IAH....

There is no MX or hangars in CRP. We were supposed to have a good deal on a cheap lease but I heard it fell through. So to answer the first question, all the trips go through IAH, but there is really no reason to have a base there.
