Who's to say you didn't stress yourself out so much about missing your flight that you ended up making yourself sick? :) Yeah, that's it...

I haven't heard anything about Piedmont slowing down hiring at all. I think they're still running classes through with about 20-30 people. We have a commuter policy also. Work rules are half decent here....could be better, could be worse.

How many legs would you fly in a typical day at Piedmont? Also are there any regionals that are still requiring a training contract?

You might consider Mesaba as well... they're still hiring a lot and getting a lot of new airplanes, and have a commuter clause. Plus you can get based Junior out of MEM on any a/c except the -200, which means you can hitch a ride on Fedex from pretty much anywhere in the states.

We fly anything from 2 (reserves might fly one leg days every now and again...but that's rare) to 6 legs (rarely we might fly 7....I've only heard that happen on a handful of times). Six gets a bit long when the weather's crappy, otherwise I don't really mind lots of flying. Monthly we fly 75-100 hrs actual. We don't have a training contract.
