continental express or other regional
Hey guys... I am wondering if continental express is the best way to get to continental? I am military with 1500TT and 1000PIC multiengine... so an okay number, but not enough to get hired by the fractionals like NetJets, and not enough to really be competitive at the few majors who are hiring.
Also what are the chances of staying out of EWR as a new hire, and how long is reserve going to be? And the age old questions.... how long for upgrade? How about time and payment for training?
And one last question... how many days are garaunteed off per month/or how hard is it to drop trips/reserve duty?
Thanks

Sorry that I can't answer all your questions. What I do know is EWR is Continental's junior base, and is also Express Jet's junior base. So EWR is looking good. Upgrade at Express Jet appears to be 2 years (According to Airline Pilot Central). P.S. You are more than qualified for Express Jet, and you make the minimums for Continental.
There are some Express Jet and Continental pilots who will be able to help you further.
Hope this helps

Bengalsfan,
Try www.expressjetpilots.com - they may be able to help you out with questions about xjet...
I would apply to Continental.
