ASA's hiring
I'm not trying to be a whiner. I have gotten a call/email from just about everywhere I sent an app. This is just the first 'thanks anyway' email. Just wondering what I'm lacking?
"After reviewing your application, you do not have the requirements/skills to interview. Please reapply in six months." -ASA email Now I know I don't have that many hours(625/205) and I'm lucky to interview everywhere, just a few years ago, when I got a job, blah blah blah. Eagle, AWAC, Comair, Mesa have contacted me, still waiting on TSA, XJET, Mesaba. Turned down by ASA? |
they're having issues with the online app. You may want to follow up with a phone call.

Eagle, AWAC, Comair, Mesa have contacted me, still waiting on TSA, XJET, Mesaba. Turned down by ASA? I had 4 moving violations, which disqual'd my app (they only let you have 3 in the last 5 years). It took 2.5 weeks of phone calls and voice messages for them to finally confirm (3 days before I would've interviewed) that they couldn't interview me b/c of those violations. I'm sure they're super busy doing college recruitment and stuff, so it takes some effort. Unlike some places, I don't think they're just hiring everyone with a pulse. They have an awesome contract, but it doesn't seem like they're growing much. I don't know if they have any new a/c coming in, and DAL is giving 900 flying to Pinnacle out of ATL...one has to wonder if they're reducing hiring b/c of the ATRs phasing out, with no new RJs (that I'm aware of) coming in...those ATR pilots transitioning over to the existing fleet of RJs would seem to solve any shortage of FOs they had last year. Maybe I'm completely wrong though...call them and find out. |
Maybe they read this thread and somehow figured out who you are :-)

Oh well I'll just quit now.. I also have 4, maybe that's why. It looked an awful lot like an auto generate response though. Thanks for the heads up. |
It's cool, you weren't aware of what a serious mistake mesa is. Sorry ASA wouldn't offer you an interview.
Don't let the moving violations thing stop you... those little rules change sometimes, it might be an online problem. |
SuperPilotJesse,
When did you put in your app in at mesaba? I put mine in 2/25/08 and am hoping to get a call also. |
I would highly suggest following up on the phone with someone from the ASA employment office.
The online app gave everyone that I interviewed with problems. . .either with information not being transmitted, or the message you are receiving. My application was one of the very last paper applications, so I can't imagine the headaches people are having. |
I emailed one out to them yesterday. Was it just the online form that was giving people troubles?
