Express Jet / Chautauqua Commute

If an Express Jet pilot wanted to live in MAF and commute to the IAH domicile, could he/she jumpseat "online" with another Continental Express airline, Chautauqua? Or, would they be considered offline? Half of the Continental Express flights from MAF to IAH are Express Jet, half are Chautauqua.

In short, as long as you are CASS-approved you can jumpseat on anyone else that is CASS with the Captain's approval.

My guess is that the question is actually regarding pass-riding, not jumpseating. correct? (Same as pass-riding on CAL or Colgan I would assume) In that case, I am sure there is some arrangement. I just do not know the technicalities.

As an XJT employee, you are considered "other airline" on CHQ, as they are on us when jumpseating. I'm not totally sure but I think CAL has priority of XJT on CHQ.

Thanks guys. It sounds like I would be considered an "offline" commute if I worked for XJT and tried to commute on CHQ. But, there's enough XJT flights going between MAF and IAH every day that it probably wouldn't be a problem to catch a XJT flight.

XJT and CAL hold the same priority on CHQ flights in CAL paint. jumpseat goes to who arrives first.

jumpseat coordinator came in the other day to talk to our class and she made it very clear their policy is to not give preference to mainline over the regional guy. first come first serve.
