Here's the deal; if this isn't your first job out of college and you've worked in another industry prior to your current regional, you know how bad this job is with regards to pay and schedule. Just curious as to the general consesus and future outlook.

Im pretty sure most teenagers stopped using the phrase "da bomb" years ago. But if it is still cool then I choose not to select it for the threat level factor.

I swear, sometimes it amazes me how some pilots think absolutely EVERYTHING is better in other career fields. I absolutely LOVE my job. It would be better if I had contractual work rules or better pay, but even as it is it is far better than what I did before, at least from my point of view. |

because of a word that begins with a B and ends with a OMB. There is a reason we dont say it unless we mean it.
Ps. Note extreme sarcasm. :D |

How about if we keep the thread on track, shall we?
If you're not interested in addressing the OP's question, then no need to post. |

Unless the wife walks in on you unexpectedly:D |
Well, my prior life was a desk job as a customer service rep for a major home phone provider that I had for 11 years. The job itself stunk, so I love regional flying a heck of a lot more(being on reserve, I keep thinking, at my old job I would've loved to have gotten paid to sit around and watch TV, but now I'm dying for that phone to ring and get called in...so I find it a good thing that I actually want to work...which wasn't the case before).
Now taking this job, I had to take a 50% paycut, but figured I am still making a little more than when I 1st started out with my old job, plus in 2 years(hopefully) I'll even out to what I was making before(and eventually surpass it). So I love the job, just waiting for the pay to get better. |
Looking forward to work is priceless. This is the only job (and I've held more than just a few) that I haven't dreaded waking up for. It's far from perfect, and I hate the Industry, but nesting myself in the flight deck makes life good. I wouldn't ever trade it in to fly a desk.
