Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle vs PSA, Compass

I have been searching the forums for days and can't find this in a timely manner, so any help would be greatly appreciated! sorry to combine these all in the same thread I don't expect to get answers for all...The last question will most certainly spark debate but had to ask.;)

For Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle only:
1) How long might it take to hold Houston? (ballpark is fine)
2) I'm in the middle of moving to a different military base and am not sure where I'm going. If I fly for Chautauqua, and end up wanting Atlanta, or any other base for that matter that is a different subgroup, would I be able to swap over to Shuttle America since you're all one big seniority list?
3) When you interview, are you interviewing for the Republic GROUP as a whole, then you pick your base/jet/whatever and they give you the subcompany (Chat, Shuttle, Rep)

For Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle/PSA/Compass:
4) What is the current upgrade time, and requirements to upgrade? (I know APC says right at a year but I wasn't sure what qualifications those junior officers had).
5) Do you sit Reserve long as an FO and CA? If so, do you fly on Reserve all the time?
6) How is the QOL in your opinion?
7) What are the junior bases?
8) I'm pretty much weighing between Compass, PSA and Republic (Chautauqua). Any thoughts between those 3 or rumors I should stay away from because? Also, I've been asking and reading, and can't get a good idea on: What could happen at Compass if DAL and NWA merge? Good and bad possibilities?

I left American Eagle for Compass. Make a decision based on what is currently going on at a company rather than what "could" happen.

Do you have any information about what is currently going on at PSA and Republic that you would choose Compass over them for; or vice versa?

if you get the CRJ, not long, but its luck of the draw when it comes to certificate/aircraft assignments. If you get something other than the CRJ you will have Zero chance of getting IAH till you upgrade.

2) I'm in the middle of moving to a different military base and am not sure where I'm going. If I fly for Chautauqua, and end up wanting Atlanta, or any other base for that matter that is a different subgroup, would I be able to swap over to Shuttle America since you're all one big seniority list?
Can only change certificates when you upgrade to CA. (in contract negotiations so this may change)
3) When you interview, are you interviewing for the Republic GROUP as a whole, then you pick your base/jet/whatever and they give you the subcompany (Chat, Shuttle, Rep) You interview for RAH (all 3) and they offer you a class where we need people at the time. you can tell them where you would like to be based but that does not mean that they will offer you a specific certificate.

For Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle/PSA/Compass:
4) What is the current upgrade time, and requirements to upgrade? (I know APC says right at a year but I wasn't sure what qualifications those junior officers had). upgrade at RAH is between 1 yr and 2 yrs depending on aircraft/base.

5) Do you sit Reserve long as an FO and CA? If so, do you fly on Reserve all the time? reserve at RAH is pretty short at most bases.
6) How is the QOL in your opinion? loaded question, depends on if you live in base or commute. on reserve or not.
7) What are the junior bases? all but LGA and DEN

8) I'm pretty much weighing between Compass, PSA and Republic (Chautauqua). Any thoughts between those 3 or rumors I should stay away from because? Hope this answers some of your questions

PSA's upgrada is about a year to a year and a half. The only requirements are ATP mins. However, a lot of CA upgrade's have been failing lately. I am still scratching my head. I heard it is due to a lack of decision making skills. Fast upgrade is not always a good thing.

They are hiring like crazy so you will gain seniority very quickly. Whatever base you want to hold can be achieved in a matter of months.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I can give you a recommendation here. :D

Oh thank you. Since you are so picky, I did the math for you... and that is an extra 1440 hours of your lifetime... waiting for that extra 2 months.

Those two extra months would let you upgrade at Chautauqua...but not on a nice big 175. Hmmm...irony....

I just interviewed at compass they told me 16mo for an upgrade.

12 months, 14 months, 16 months...we're splitting hairs

It does not matter what the upgrade time is if you don't have enough total time to meet CA minimums!
