LOL! That's definitely a new one.

Let’s see:

A) Pay 280,000 pounds ($550,000) in penalties

Or………….

B) Pay 172 Pax 40 pounds or less which is a max of 6880 pounds or around $13,512 (WOW..........our dollar.........weak!).

Someone was thinking outside the box…………………………………..way outside but if they pull it off and it saves Flybe 273,120 pounds or more, then I’m sure the mastermind of the "smoke & mirror" ploy is on the fast track to upper level low cost Mgmnt. LOL!

As Guinness’s Marketing gurus would say: BRILLIANT!

Spectacular move by the airline. Maybe next time the airport's business managers will think about negotiating with them.
