skywest in brazil?

I heard about this about a month ago, looks like there is a bit of substance to it.

They may make investments outside of 50 states but that doesn't translate into flying jobs for us. They can get away from risky US $ and go into having a stream of income from EUR or other more stable currencies.

Guys saying around here we're buying 175's - the reason for our Brazil trips and such...I just say, silly Pilots! We're getting more Bro's!! Duh ;)

EMB-120NG's, I like it! ;)

Full glass, more automated & improved systems, LED lighting, composite parts to reduce weight which will allow for more payload, bigger Engines (around 2300+ shaft), an airframe plug to help increase baggage loads and PAX loads around 40-50, with cruise speeds around 40 KTAS faster (puts it around 345 True) and finally hydraulic FLT Controls and real yaw dampers. Now that’s a bird SKW would buy seeing that it shouldn’t require a different type which will assist in keeping total cost low.

Maybe it would be called: EMB-121NG SuperBro :D

LMAO...SuperBro - I like it! But one thing - just say NO to hydraulic flight controls :D

That would be a hell of a workout with takeoff weights reaching around 35K+.

Alright - I'll give you hydraulically-assisted ailerons...just leave the tailfeathers alone ;)

Embraer already has this. Change the shaft part to turbofan and guess what you get.:o

See and some say pilots can't compromise. :D They should have a group of pilots take part in the design process of all a/c.

Ya, a 50 seat a/c that burns 4-5 times the amount of fuel, cost a hell of a lot more to operate on short hopes and can't support small airports with 4000' or less runways. It's a perfect replacement. ;)

BTW, Jets are not a replacements for Props and vise versa, but you know this. LOL!
