Questions about Pinnacle?

1. Anybody know which city NH FO's are assigned to? Can they ask for MEM?

2. How long does it take to upgrade to Captain?

3. Given all things equal, how many hours does the average Captain flies per month? per year?

4. How long does it normally take to reach 1000 PIC?

I know I could do the math from question three, however, just want to get some straight answers.

Thanks guys!!!

you're kidding, right??? I don't even work at Pinnacle and I can tell you that if you're looking for a quick upgrade, if an upgrade at all, you're looking into the wrong place. Do a little research on past threads. I recommend www.flightinfo.com if you don't know about it already. Good Luck.

a buddy of mine just got on with pinnacle. He explained the some stuff to me. Not a chance of getting MEM right off the bat. Upgrade is at least 3 years. You want to be a captain in MEM? Good things come to those who wait, which just so happens to be about 5 years that you're looking at.

new hires in dec and jan classes got mem. bigger numbers in dtw. little to 0 in msp. upgrades will depend on circumstances flowing downhill from nwa rfp. avg time is about 85 hrs a month [reserve or line]

weird. my buddy was hired a week or two ago and got a class date in april. he said they gave him a choice between MSP and DTW. he chose MSP, but he won't find out until training, of course. Upgrade seems to be regional standard. About 3 years.

Thanks guys. Yours, and all the input I get from genuine fellow aviators are really helping me in narrowing my choices in terms of which route I will take to get on with the regionals. Also, the information I'm receiving along with my personal research of each regional is helping me to decide which one I would like to fly for. I'm focusing in on MEM for obvious reasons.:D :D ;)

Love those A-300's and 310's.

Thanks again.

Not so sure Pinnacle will be around down the road, NW thinking about NewCo, NW mainline might take 70 seats plus, Pinnacle flying open for other regionals (Mesa) that can underbid them

Yeah Pinnacle is in deep do-do right now. But Mesa will probably NOT bid for their stuff cuz NWA wants their regionals to pay for their own fuel...but since regionals can't raise their own ticket prices, that's almost a sure way to get your financial @ss kicked...you would basically be running a speculative venture betting that fuel costs will DROP significantly over the next 5-8 years...hahahaha. Somebody out there might be that freakin' stupid, but it's not JO.

Well, hopefully all that will work out for Pinnacle's advantage. My resume went in on Monday, so we'll see what happens there.

Firsthand info....
You can get MEM and DTW right now. No MSP right now. Could change shortly. All the regionals are up in the air right now. Standby to stanby.... this might be a maybe.

Why do you want to jump on a sinking ship?

Not looking to jump on a sinking ship!!!

There's an A300/310 in MEM or (future order), that has my name written all over it. I have to determine what route is going to be the path of least resistance. Also, in addition to living in MEM or suburb thereof (not having to commute) where new construction homes, 4/2.5/2, are under 180K... seems like a plan to me.:)
