American Eagle assignments?
 

How does American Eagle assign bases and aircraft to their new hires? What is your seniority in your class based upon? Any and all help would be greatful.

If I remember from what a friend told me, its based on your age. Youngest guy in class = most junior seniority number and assignment but he also said there was a fair amount of trading that goes on for bases and equipment. Anyone with better info feel free to correct me.

That's what I heard as well I know some ppl that went there as well and it was based on your age. I know a lot of people that get the Saab have been ending up in LAX but its usually not that hard to jump home from there if you want.

Every airline I've ever heard bases it on hire date, then age within a group with the same hire date.

At a regional, if you're 21, you'll be the most junior guy in the class.
30, you'll be in the middle
40+ at the top.

It is by age at eagle. Some airlines (trans states for one) do use the last four of your ssn.

I've known pilots at regionals who turned 21 on overnights.

hmmm.....good thing for the hotel bar, bad thing for the next morning pax? just kiddin. Thats funny thought, 21 overnight, haha. So there are 20 year old F/O's @ eagle? Are they flying the RJ or Saab?

According to the American Eagle Career website, the minimum pilot age required is 21 years old.
