Attn AWAC Pilots: MKE hotel

I understand that AWAC overnights in MKE regularly. We do not at PSA. I was hoping any of you that overnight there might be able to provide me with a name of a hotel that might give me a US Airways rate for a few nights in August. I plan on attending the Harley 105th rally. Thanks!

The Clarion Across from the airport is the one they put us in. From what i heard we get it for like 30 a night if we need a room...but thats an awac discount. Anyway im not a big fan...alot of the rooms stink....former smoking rooms turned "non-smoking"

But its cheap

BIGRIG 04-21-2008 09:01 AM

The Laquinta might have a crew discount. It was 35 a night, but I am not sure if that was an airline discount or a midwest airlines discount.

Give Sheraton 4 points a holler. Another regional stays there and it seems fairly nice. Have fun!

That was the old AWAC hotel. Yeah---nice place and they will cut you a deal.

I used to stay there for $45 a night and so much nicer than La Quinta, which is $35...if you really want to slum, the HOJO is like $30, but I would suggest bringing your own sheets, and a bottle of disinfectant spray, lol.

Go the Four Points...much better than that Clarion AWAC now stays at.

Plus as an airline employee you get free Dunkin Donuts in the morning!!!

FYI - The Four Points by the airport changed names (to a Wyndham I believe).

How do you guys get the discount eveyrtime I tried to get it they wont let me unless its direct billed to the company? what I been using is hotwire.com or hotels.com usually works out better sometimes.

All you do is ask for flight crew rates...and show them your ID if they ask....but it generally works better if your by an airport...or a hotel with an airport shuttle...

flyfresno 04-21-2008 02:13 PM

Yeah, the 4 Points is a Wyndham now, for a while they stopped the crew rate but then it started again, I used to stay there and like I said, I paid $45 (although I got the Midwest rate).

Most domiciles post what hotels have what rate in their crew room. If not, ask around to commuters, usually there are one or two hotels that everyone uses. SkyWest has a directory online of all the crew hotels we use and what rates they offer employees for personal stays. As for other cities, just start calling the hotels near the airports. Some hotels give different rates to different airlines, but if you show up in uniform, they usually never ask what specific airline you work for.

Try priceline.com. I just started using it and it truly does give you HUGE discounts on hotel rooms (>50%). The only thing about it though is that if they don't accept your offer, you have to wait 24 hours to offer again for the same trip. If you change the star level of the hotel you want you can offer again. Another thing is that if they accept your offer, you are charged and cannot cancel/get a refund.

OptimusClimb 04-21-2008 04:30 PM

thanks guys for the replies, I will try again. I tried calling the same hotel we stay at and the rates I get is only like 20$ off the orig. which is way high compare to the usual 35-55 crew rates, I guess it varies sometimes.
