Hiring and Classes at AWAC

Anyone know how many classes a month AWAC has?

saab2000 04-28-2008 09:39 AM

Things are slowing down and mins are going up. It is going to become more competitive. They have been running one to two classes per month, but attrition has slowed way down in the past month or so, so don't expect it to be all that much for a while.

Also whats the deal with the RDU base opening up? Senior or Junior??

I guess the mins went WAY up. When I looked at them it was less than 1000 hours, I applied with 2300 and was turned down for an interview. Oh well, just scheduled one with Pinnacle!

people are getting RDU and LGA out of training

New hires are all going to LGA last I heard. Raleigh is just a bit more senior

Both RDU and LGA are pretty junior, but LGA is really junior. Pretty much expect LGA if you get hired here. HOWEVER,.... after not too long you could almost certainly switch if you are willing to accept a reserve spot in one of the others. Almost nobody who can hold a line bids reserve so you could probably get your choice quickly or even right out of training if you bid for a reserve spot.

I have been at AWAC 4 years and will be about nr. 10 in RDU on the capt. side of things, out of about 30 lines or so. I think. Something like that. Still on RSV in DCA.....
