AWACS not hiring any more?
 

Hey,

Filled out an online application yesterday and today they sent me an email turning me down for an interview... 2100 TT and over 300ME ... Nothing hidden, no incidents or accidents...Instructor background. I was very surprised...Have they stopped hiring? Have they increased their minimums above 2000 TT??

Darn!! But above 2000TT and 300ME ?? College degree and everything, not even an interview...

And I thought I was marketable... :(

Flitestar-Did you interview at ASA? If so, have you heard anything yet? Also, I had a friend interview at AWAC about a week and a half ago, I don't know if he got the job though?

Hey Phx. No news yet for anybody that interviewed from april 9th to the 12th of april.

Nobody has heard wether they made it to the pool or not.

Comair is still hiring. Come on over. You are definitely marketable here. If you really wanted to go to Air Wiskey, the I think Comair is the next best choice in terms of corporate culture, upgrade times, etc...

I know what you mean! I interviewed March 20th-21st, and no word as of yet. As I understand it, no news from ASA is good news in that if you weren't selected we would have known fairly quickly after the interview in the form of a rejection letter. I think we're OK, but getting the official word is of course what we need.

I've heard June or beyond for classes after this May 5th...any news on your front regarding that?

You are fine. But internal recommendations count for a lot here. And it's not that big a company. Keep applying. They do look for people who will fit in with the culture here and that just isn't everyone. Don't ask me how they choose, but they seem to do a pretty good job. Most folks who stick it out here are great people to work with.

I bet if you apply for American Eagle, they will schedule an interview with you, within 24 hours after applying!
