SKW Running a June CRJ Class

SKW is currently awarding a June CRJ class. As of now 8 EMB FO's have been awarded the transition and one EMB CA was awarded CRJ CA. Not sure but I don't think the class will be very large and I wonder how many, if any, new hires will be added.

I'm thinking that the majority of the class will be transitioning EMB FO’s with New Hire EMB FO's back filling their positions. That's good news for those in the EMB pool.

Anyone have any additional info?

That's about how it's going to go.

the guys CA transitioning are senior thats there pat on the back, there's no need for SKW CA's on the jet. As for the FO's its just to keep morale up. 8 leg days would make anyone want to commit suicide

I doubt any new hires are in it. I was number 2 in the jet pool and recently decided to go to the EMB, got the june 2nd class.

And not to get too off topic, but if anyone knows the bases I could expect or any tips I'd appreciate it. (made a thread but it got deleted when the forums went down)

Well as for the bases this is what our april EMB class (10) got (Top 6 in the seniority got FAT, then 3 MRY and the final guy got LAX). I am starting IOE from PSP Friday on a nice 4 day trip, then a week off and do 2 (2 days) back to back.

But from what everyone has told me thru my training, unless there is movement from awards, you should expect FAT. Some in my class wanted SLC and they were told it would be a few months before they could possibly expect that. But bid ALL THE CITIES in order of preference, and you might get lucky and get the base you want.

Either way I am really having fun and look fwd to my first revenue flight of IOE. (PSP-LAX-MRY-SFO-ACV-SFO-SMF)... Phew will be a long day.

Wow - Only two captains in the class with the junior one with over 5 1/2 years seniority.

Sounds good see you there optimus. We'll be working the APC connection so that'll give us an advantage right?

Maybe its an ERJ class... I heard that SKW is going to operate 29 ERJ's for CAL out of Houston. You read it here first... maybe.

At least you're not going in and out of the same airport(ATL) all day:D

Thanks! June 30th is the class date so I will be around FAT for another 5 weeks. I am sure we will run into each other here sooner than later and hopefully get a chance to fly together before I am out!

Wouldn't that be awkward? Nobody wants to admit they actually post on here.

A few days ago I talked with TW in the SLC crew lounge and during training I spoke with BHopper. I also have five great friends who lurk in the back ground and post when needed. Yes they are not as active as I am but there are extremes to every bell curve.

I have no problems with meeting contributors to this forum and I often look forward to it seeing we are all good people and we have nothing to be ashamed of. We all enjoy our jobs, we share in each others frustration when it comes to this industry and we all what to improve it.

The only poster I really don’t care to meet is Slaphappy, I’d probably end up laughing in his face and walking off. Other than him I’d like to take you all out for a beer.
