Maybe we are gonna get to fly Eagle's -700s.

How do you know that our higher ups are going back and forth to DFW?

texaspilot76 05-26-2008 07:10 AM

Is there a SkyWest partnership that hasn't been rumored? In the recent past, I've heard Southwest, USAir, Continental, Alaska, and now American. Oh yeah, and when AirTran wanted to buy Midwest, AirTran, too.

I'm just going to stop getting worked up. I'll believe it when I see it. And maybe not even then.

Some people on here would believe it if you told them AA would be doing flying FOR skywest

You heard it hear first

RAH, XJT, SKW/ASA and any other regionals (but especially those with 1500+ pilots) are always going to be talking to Majors about the future. Means absolutely nothing until the airplanes get new paint jobs.

LOL Would the planes say "United Express Express" and "Delta Connection Connection"?

There is no doubt in my mind that one day soon, ALL airlines will be under the protective umbrella that is SKYWEST INC. crew pass won't be needed, everyone can jumpseat. Upgrade times to fly innanashunul in a 74 will be 3 weeks from bro fo to 74 capitan. Pay will be 7 figures first year and all, and I mean all of the fa's will be suppa hot. All employees will of course be Mormons, uncle Jerry will give us all a 10% raise to cover the tithes of the church, and each day will start with thee mandatory ration of Koolaid, "My favorite flavor, Cherry red" Oh and of course I will be chief pilot, ruler of the universe and commander in chief of the anti alpa pro koolaid rulers of the universe! whatta ya wanna bet I can throw a football over them mountains?:D

That's what I want to know.

Maybe they're just having company retreats at the Gaylord Texan....

It was funny until I read this line. I'm not Mormon, I’m actually not religious at all, but this line went a little too far. Religion should not have been mentioned.

Just my opinion.

flyifrvfr 05-26-2008 05:07 PM

I heard that Eagle was submitting an offer to buy Skywest.

Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Did not mean to offend. I am Mormon, an active practicing one at that and I was not offended sorry if anyone else was. But there are alot of us at SKYWASTE, why do you think alpa failed, we already give 10% can't afford another 2% (now that is sure to offend somebody);)

It may have been a questionable comment for some, had you not been LDS...but now that that's on the table, it's all good :) And funny as hell LoL :D

That was the attitude from ASA pilots that sunk the ALPA vote and ensured there would be no merger.

SuperPilotJesse 05-26-2008 06:15 PM

Only problem with that Newty is everyone knows Koolaid doesn't come in flavors... Only colors

I like purple.

Newty 05-26-2008 06:23 PM

It's like dave chappelle says, what the H3LL is juice? we got "grape Drink" it's got 3 ingredients; Water, sugar, and PURPLE."

and while I'm sure most picked it up the "favorite flavor , cherry red" was an homage to the stones. You cant always get what you want!

Something is going on up in Utah! What? I have not a clue? This is the first I have heard about interviewing everyday in June and the Dallas traveling...well we will have to wait until there is a press release to know. However it seams the flood gates may be starting to open just a bit here? I say this because of the interviews now in June....and the June 30 transition class started out to be a small group of us (about 12 total FO & CA transitions). Then it was revised and there is now 20 FO and 8 CA transitions I believe in class. Pretty big jump all of a sudden. Also, there is another transition class in late July that was awarded to 8 FO's, 12 newhires, and I don't know how many Capts thrown in there. We are still fat on the CRJ pilot side with many more of us on the way? All this leads me to believe.....well I don't know but the training dept is gearing up for lots of buisness again so.........I have no rumors but things apear to be on the move. We will all have to wait it out until announcements start hitting the press. Good luck and good night!
