Default skywest pilots that want skywest to buy expressjet

i'm sick of all these threads on here about this nonsense. i haven't seen one person say that they even want us to buy expressjet, and yet these expressjet guys on here (and only on here...no one i know that works at expressjet is saying anything remotely like the bile that gets spewed on here) keep saying that "we" are threatening "you" with various things, trying to get you to "give in" to "our" offer. and yet we don't even want the buyout to go through! get it straight! if there's any skywest pilot (other than slaphappy, if he actually does work for skywest) that wants skywest inc. to buy expressjet at all, post here please because i haven't read anyone saying that. i, as a skywest pilot, am stating quite specifically, as i have many times, that i do not want skywest to buy expressjet.

Ditto...I doubt you'll find any that do want the acquisition! No offense, but y'all over there at XJet have shown here on APC that y'all are far more trouble than you're worth LoL

We seem to have flying lined up with CAL. If we don't buy XJT then the flying will most likely go to SKW pilots. That means more movement for me. Not trying to be a jerk, I'm just saying that from a short term, selfish perspective, it would benefit most SKW pilots if XJT declines our offer.

True. But imagine if you had one of those pesky things called a CBA that contained some language that would deal with such a situation if SKW's management wanted to pursue acquisition of another carrier. If SKW's management wanted to play hardball and go the hostile takeover route, well, that's the way it would be.

But at least if there was a CBA containing scope/merger language in place at SKW, BOTH pilot groups would have somewhat of a chance to obtain some equity in the deal. Now, we've all seen how that doesn't work out so well on some cases, but NONE of the most recent really apply to this situation, yet.

So instead of a complete windfall for one group and the other getting bent over, as it would be now. There MIGHT actually be something a little more fair to BOTH groups in the end.

Well guys, to you and your management, let me be the first to say thank you for playing. The talks with the union are over and we got to keep our scope which means no buyout or aquisition.

If you guys can actually come up with 29 ERJ's, well I wish you nothing but luck, and don't forget that RAH was promised 70 seaters as they brought those wonderful CRJ200's to replace the XR's. Now the CRJ's are going away and there's no chance that the CAL pilots are giving up scope...I hope Jerry knows what he's getting himself into.

Sincerely,

A happy XJT pilot.
