XJT finally gets some good news

Just got an email from my friend at XJT with this link in it:

I know nothing is final yet, but the word is 7 years, 205 a/c as long as the branded aircraft transition to replace the 135's and 145EP's. Long story short, 7 years of job security for anyone who has at least 401 pilots below them over there. Branded dies, everything else remains. Hope this all works out for you guys. Best of luck.

LOL, while that could happen, I find it funny that none of those "facts" are even in the article you linked to. It is true we are trying to get a longer term CPA and the 135's and EP's probably will be phased out, but I don't think they will let CAL tell them Branded must go unless they want it to and Branded only has about 23 A/C in it at the end of the summer so furloughing 400 pilots would create a HUGE under staffing on the CAL and DAL flying.

i think they will, CAL cant afford to let XJT go TU, it would cripple their domestic fleet. not to mention no company can replace 205 aircraft overnight.

from my vantage point I hope it is true in the end saab...

This is what management is for. Theres a reason pilots do not negotiate CPAs. I have my fingers crossed. Who knows what will happen if they dont. One thing Id like to know is what they plan on doing with all the money they will raise by issuing more stock. It will be substantial, and I honestly cant see it supporting our teetering Branded operations. A new CAL CPA with XJT would be a good thing for the regionals.

It was on Yahoo finance that XJET did enter into a new CPA with Big Cal. I don't know the details. I hope the hiring pool over there is empty, I wanna go back home!!
