Somthing like this happened at Skybus. People left weeks before the doors closed.

Not good until the head rat leaves.

paxhauler85 06-06-2008 12:13 PM

While I agree it isn't good until JO leaves, this guy is about one notch below him (on the dumbass scale).

Possibly a tiny, baby step towards the good side of the meter.

Unfortunately, were still totally screwed.

Nah! Lotz is the next step below JO. Lotz is Jo's right hand man and would jump in front of a bus if JO told him to.

I trully feel for the employees at Mesa, particularly the guys that have been there for years. All the best to those guys. The management on the other hand, well, I hope J.O. never works in the industry ever again.

I thought J.O.'s "right hand man" was the guy using it inappropriately in front of his laptop.

Have you ever heard of the Rat King when all the rats tails get tied together and fuse together to form one huge rat.

CFDoubleeye 06-06-2008 03:49 PM

Personally, if you went to Mesa in the last 5 years.... you are just as bad as the management. ALPA or not, I would not recommend hiring you.

You guys fail to realize that the pilots willing to shortcut upgrade or work for the wages the Mesa pays are the reason your income has stalled at the unacceptable level it is currently at.

Nope.. no favors to Mesa employees. You should have walked off the job a long time ago.

I am all for an ALPA negotiated acceptable pay rate across the board based on aircraft. No matter what carrier you are under, if ALPA, management is put on notice of the fixed cost of the employee. That places management in the seat of providing the best benefits and reputation to draw in the best qualified pilot.

groovinaviator 06-06-2008 03:57 PM

self deleted post...

trying to cut back on flame.

Flame. Feeling tough now that you most likely won't get furloughed now? You're ridiculous.

The CFO at Independence Air abruptly quit about 3 months before we finally closed doors. When the money guy leaves and leaves his golden parachute at the table, its a bad sign.
good luck to you mesa pilots....kcuf j.o.,
bc

JetJock16 06-06-2008 07:25 PM

Na Na Naaaa Na, Hey Hey Hey, Good-by.

Regardless, good for him for getting out. I know he didn't help things but at least he said "to hell with you" JO, I'm out of here.

I wish the best for all those who are trying to ride the turbulent seas at Mesa with the hopes that one day someone will make JO walk the plank.

bradeku1008 06-06-2008 08:11 PM

Sorry Mesa guys....But I give it 3 months

Considering what happened to Murnane it could and probably will happen to other of the corporate slobs...

RightSeatDude 06-07-2008 04:21 PM

Blah blah blah... same old boring tripe.

The Duke 06-07-2008 04:34 PM

Quarterly earnings not yet announced and the interim CFO leaves. What could this mean?

1.) He knows something we don't know and it ain't good...

or

2.) Knowing Mesa management's strong distrust of behaving ethically, they may have asked him to do something he felt ethically opposed to doing. So he got out. Good for him if this is the case.

Could also be a combination of the two, we'll just have to wait and see.

G-Dog 06-08-2008 11:31 AM

That does say a lot. When your one of your top dogs leave before the "late" 1Q report, the picture can not be pretty.

muushin 06-09-2008 06:22 PM

don't screw with good people, or else..

Specifically to the most recent, Rotten infrastructure of mesa's camp capos, you know who you are.

THE END IS NIGH

Ezekiel 25:17
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Amen,

and the best to all of the good, hard working pilot brothers over there you know who you are AND HAVE FAITH!! you can do better, just be patient.
