Pinnacle or Air Wisconsin?
I need some input. I was recently set up for an interview with Pinnacle later this month. I don't know much about them, and from what I have read in the forums, there are some positives and some negatives. I am also looking at air Wis, but that interview wouldn't be for a few more months. To tell you the truth, I just want to start flying. Should I wait it out, or is Pinnacle a good place to start?

Wisconsin is pretty competitive. If you know someone there, then you should wait for an interview with them. If you don't know someone there, then don't base your decision on whether you want to "wait" for Wisconsin or not. It could be a very long wait...
As for Pinnacle, I think people give it more crap than they should. Talk to one of the pilots that work there. I've got two friends that work there that say the same thing about it - "Not that bad if you don't commute"
There is more apparent instability with Pinnacle than there is Wisconsin because of who they fly for, but you could hold a line with Pinnacle MUCH quicker, especially if you're willing to live in Detroit.
I say if they give you a job, then take it. Who's looking much better right now anyways?

If you have a choice go with Air Wiskey... they own a big chunk of US-Air and have a seat on the board... this means it would be pretty tough for them to lose flying.
The people I have met from there are all "Good People"
(If you spent last XMAS in BGR from AWAC you know who you are)

AWAC is actively recruiting pilots again, info at www.airwis.com. Point of contact is Capt. Pat Doyle. All hiring is for ATTRITION (~24/mo), not growth. An internal recommendation will get you in the pipeline much faster; that being said, I was hired late last year without a rec after my 4th resume submission in 3 months. Sometimes persistance pays off...
There have been many PCL guys hired at AWAC recently, so go with 9E if they give you a class date first and if you get an interview/offer from AWAC you can decide if you want to jump ship or not.
Good luck!
