July JFK schedules F8

The ERJ schedules came out for July- is it any surprise that there are 91 reserve lines in JFK, no hard lines, and EVERY line has the minimum 8 days off?

Come work for Mesa everyone! Life is GREAT over here!
;)

Drums4life 06-11-2008 10:01 AM

yep, unbelievable...I'll be sitting my reserve in Cleveland.

Is that a joke or is that serious?

saabguy493 06-11-2008 10:12 AM

So why do you want to work for Mesa?
--So I can be at home and not worry about going to work...

Yeah that's what I'd like to know.

You mean that the entire base is on reserve, and there are no lineholders in that base, and it's got 91 pilots?

Drums4life 06-11-2008 11:33 AM

yea no ERJ flying whatsoever. 91 reserve lines in JFK and about 50 in MCO. 250 pilots on reserve, just in case we get the flying back...

reevesofskyking 06-11-2008 11:36 AM

How many are going to risk sitting reserve at home and not going into base

Drums4life 06-11-2008 11:38 AM

I'd hope the vast majority at least the more senior people. I consider myself done flying for Freedom, hopefully won't be back in JFK except for my final trip.

now now now, you need to see the big picture...

they have 250 of us on reserve so when they downgrade any 6 of our delta 900's, a ready to go get 'em ERJ crew and plane are on airport reserve standby for the mission!!!!

should be a fun bid

And that's the way each months schedule will look like till the court date. Delta will not put those a/c back in the schedule. Delta is actually saving money by paying MAG to park the ERJ's and not having to pay for fuel costs that it would incur if they were actually flying trips. Of course JO makes out like a bandit too, since he's not paying operational costs and is still getting paid his monthly guarantee from DL. Maybe this gives mx enough time to fix all those MEL's!:D I hope you guys find greener pastures elsewhere and move on.

So when are the 900 lines going away?

N2rotation 06-12-2008 02:39 PM

It looks like KFLO is making money from Mesa's shortcomings!

Thats a great photo. You guys should park JO on the FLO ramp as well. I'd pay the tie down fees.
