First year FO Pay ?
In determing what I would make as a first year FO, is it safe to assume the following:
1. Pay per hour times the monthly guarantee
2. 300 hrs per diem (overnight untaxed, non-overnight taxed)
Is there any other income?

In my first year so far I've averaged 161 per diem hours per month here at mesaba since I completed training. Highest month was 312, lowest was 57.
It all depends on how badly the airline you are going to needs pilots, how much you will be used on reserve and how quickly you will be able to get a line as far as per diem goes.

I wouldn't count on getting per diem. As a new hire you will sit reserve a lot which you won't get per diem for. Make sure you can live of min guarantee, in today's environment it's all you will get for awhile if you get a job that is. Tough times right now.

yeah what Diver Driver said... And thats on a good month for me too to make that much. Imagine, flying 50 people around in a jet for that much??? At least I get to fly a ERJ145 for that pay <sarcasm>...

count on guarentee, anything else is gravy. Per diem in my company lags about a month from when you earned it so it's definately disassociated for me. First year will be reserve and training, depends alot on how training is paid..and that varies alot.

I grossed $25,000 my first year at Air Wisconsin, including Per-Diem. I spent 3 of those months in training, 2 months on reserve, and 7 as a lineholder...although I commuted 4 of those 7 as a lineholder and dropped a LOT of flying to get commutable trips.
