Battleground-Truce on UAL/UAX Jumpseats...
Just got the good word via SWOL from MM. Don't know the specifics, but if anybody is out there that knows more about the "workable solution," agreed to by all parties on both sides of the line, lets get the news out there!

Just a heads up it is going to be a paper related system with a sheet that will list priorities. It will be similar to what one needs to fill out when jumping on USAirways.
To begin with the pilots are going to need to carry the forms until it can be distributed to the stations.

There will be.
As it starts out, it might be up to the pilots to properly distribute before it gets into the UAL paperwork distribution system. And of course it might take a little to get the gate agents up to snuff.
The big thing is, a resolution has been reached.

While I am sure UAL MEC does not like to be strong-armed, I think they should be happy to see that express pilots are learning how to unify. Let every unionized UALEX pilot take this as a simple lesson on strength in numbers, and how a unified group CAN effect change. Hopefully the paper system works...it certainly seems to be within the capabilities of both pilot groups. If not, look for another round. WE CAN make change happen. Hold the line together and good will come. For all those naysayers... have some faith once in while. For all those within the UALEX group who didn't want to play the game... just trust your union leadership a bit more. They don't arrive at these solutions randomly. Please hold the line better next time when it is our contract and QOL on the line.

I was trying to say that the unionized UALEX pilots could take the unity lessons learned here and apply them to their own in-house disputes and contract negotiations.
