AWAC update, please
 

This worked well yesterday so I thought I would try it again. I know AWAC isn't hiring, but where do things stand these days. I see where it says furloughs are pending, but is this just rumored or has it been stated this will occur? What's the general vibe out there among the AWAC pilots? Thanks.

Furloughs are absolutely going to happen. The official number hasn't been announced yet. The last update that we had stated that we should have a re-alignment notice sent out tomorrow. That's all the available info for now.

We are apparently overstaffed to the tune of 80 pilots. Just found out in our company email.

I am debating a LOA... so that may help ya some.

How long will they allow you guys to take an LOA? Just wondering.

I think I maybe on the cusp, and I'm taking a TOWOP for August, awesome, so I get to come back to no job. sweet.

I think some LOA's will be offered but the details have not come to surface yet.

And we only had what, 22 out of 30 take it last month? I don't think we'll be able to get more people to take them. Hell if I had known I'd would have thought twice about taking one. I mean 80 guys? That many? That is 10% of our pilots.
