Seriously. We get it, you're butthurt because Piedmont was sloppy thirds. Get over it. I have no shame in being the caboose, approve the damn thing.

What he didn't address in his hysterical rant is if the company will be returning to continue negotiations. Will they?

agreed. MEC chair is to vote in the interest of the pilot group. we want this. so approve it. Im sick of the ALPA bs here. the union has jammed us up twice now. it needs to change. the majority of pilots here want this.

Yes it appears they sent back an email of PDTs "needs" but after the other two WOs took the deal I doubt the company is going to be very receptive...

The point of his letter was that the offer was presented to them informally which does not follow the ALPA policy manual. It's was basically Lyle just calling Bruce and asking him to agree to the PSA like deal over the phone. You don't just accept an offer without getting the details first. It should have been presented to the MEC as a formal proposal. Instead it sounds like PDT mgt botched it (no surprise) and AAG wasn't on top of the situation. A deal is still in the works, it's just going take way longer than it should have because the process wasn't initiated properly. This is PDT mgmt SOPs though, look at the iPad program and every other thing, amazingly though everyone keeps their job.

Nice work he's done. Will be interesting to see the fallout and lack of new hires when the other two raised pay so much.

Oh and no surprise, PSA and ENY MECs negotiated their deals without notifying PDT's. Some unity.

There was an opportunity to stand together and actually make meaningful improvements to our CBAs but instead we get these short sided bandaid deals because we don't work together. It's disappointing to see us waste so much negotiating leverage it's Pilots like the whiners above, ready to settle for the quick cash, that make it possible. I mean seriously, these retention bonuses won't even get paid out until next year. What's the rush of trying to get a deal done in a matter of days?

lol whiners? quick cash? just riddle me this...how many years does our contract have left? how long will it take to enhance the actual cba? what would we lose in negotiations? more money without losing any of our current contract isnt a win HOW? you wanna play the negotiation game with AAG for the next 3 years be my guest. but they are willing to give extra cash now. each day or year we dont take the cash we lose. youre right its not enhancing the CBA but that doesnt just happen overnight. no we arent whiners. we know what its like to start at 20k a year and id be happy for those behind us to not deal with that.
