Do the chief pilots have wings and hat pins? Are the hats mandatory?

I wouldn't worry about the hat right now. Until we get an fil that says it, it's primal in my book. You can ask the cp if they got wings but i doubt it.

Also, can any commuters at PDT potentially PM me or chime in on here. The only thing stopping me from making a switch now is the fact I'd have to commute (I currently drive to work, but my base is in jeopardy). I just had a baby and I know commuting on a 4/2 average schedule would be really rough. Also, after upgrade at PDT I would likely be on permanent reserve since so many people will jump over me (-8 guys transitioning to the 145 and upgrades that I bypassed because of prior 121). Trying to get a more accurate feel if commuting would be doable at PDT or if I should continue to wait for a base announcement. Recruiting told me last week they expect to hear by the first of the year. I'm also looking at C5 since they have a home base for me (IAD), but I'd really like to come to PDT.

Thanks guys. And good luck on a new TA... I hope you guys get the best deal of the three!
Nothing yet on base, but it's going to be soon. Dca and lga would make sense but who knows.

The dash 8 lines in phl are ez to come in and out of. Right now there is a chance of being a DEC but there are many first officers at that 1000 hour mark, but we have over 15 upgrade slots available. Crazy..

With pay raises coming soon, it could be a solid choice.

Not quite yet. The person at 524 is actually only our 446th pilot on the list. (see Chief Pilot's page) According to that list, we are at 465 pilots as of the 9/12/16 class, which accounts for the latest vacancy bid for their placement.

I'd put money on a DCA base. I'd also bet money against an LGA base. AA is limited on how many aircraft they get in and out of LGA each day. Just doesn't make sense to waste those slots with a 50 seat airplane IMO

On second thought, I could be wrong. Looks like a lot more Trans States/AWAC flights out of LGA than I originally thought

Is that what your MEC is telling you?

If so you're being lied to. All 3 WO MECs got the proposals simultaneously.

PSA pulled the trigger without much negotiation. They left money on the table (again) and set the bar for the rest of us for our agreements (again).

Envoy managed to get some extra cash for the senior FOs by taking a breath and resisting the knee jerk reaction to take the first offer like a desperate virgin.

I hope that PDT's delay is a reflection of what envoy has done, but the misinformation you're being fed makes that seem less likely. Keep asking questions until you get the truth.

According to the PSA MEC, they did not accept the first offer. They asked for a $10,000 Captain bonus and settled on $7,500. The original offer from AAG was $5,000. Consequently Envoy received (and presumably PDT) a $7,500 bonus as well for Captains. They also made attempts at other improvements.
