Yes, unfortunately it's true... and it looks to be worse than you say.

Just got the company email tonight.

49 Additional FO furloughs effective 9/1... in addition to the 27 June 30th

33 Captain Downgrades.

Good luck guys.

I dont understand, Airways stock is up, Oil is starting to come down, and PSA is furloughing more pilot? Found this out after an email from the training department telling us that classes wont start until the end of the year. But its probably more like next summer.

What's the hire date for the highest furlough number?

Yes.

They still have the same number of airplanes, but they going to be under-utilized. How many people they expected to lose this summer? About 76 (27+49=76!). Attrition has stopped, or slowed to a trickle. So PSA is overstaffed by how many? 76.

You can make more money as a CFI.

You can make more money ANYWHERE. Time for a real job.

Im thinking about it, if i dont get in by next year then... know of any colleges that have a meterology program? Atleast we know there will always be weather and the price of oil wont effect it.

Not a clue, but I see that you got the email as well. What number are you in the pool?
