Commuting for ASA?

Can anyone tell me if it would be possible to commute out of Rapid City, SD and work for ASA? Would it be complete chaos? I do know that commuting can be a challenge as well. Thanks.

I bet you have to two-leg it, which is never fun. Quick search looks like you have to go through DEN or ORD on UAL, SLC on DAL, or MSP on NWA. Sounds like a tough one to me.

Does ASA have a commuter clause to help out commuters? For example, if you give yourself two flights, you can call in honest if you don't make it?

Anything like that?

thats pretty much a no brainer as to not commute... unless of course you just love killing yourself.

Yes we have a commuter clause. It's good for three uses in a rolling 12 month period or 5 times within a rolling 24 month period. I would elaborate.. but I live in domicile and haven't had to use it!!

Never ever do a two-leg commute. EVER.
You'll die young of stress and will never be home. EVER. :(

Ideally, you'll want at least 5 direct flights a day.
Two different airlines also increases your odds of getting to work.

One of your ASA guys takes us all the time, he lives in GFK. He does an ATL-MSP-GFK.
Just an FYI though... those flights to ND, SD are always full out of MSP, and there are alot of NWA guys that live up in those cities.
Could be a tough commute.

I used to commute to Huron, SD from Atlanta. It took the better part of a day to get there. It was not (and still isn't) how I liked spending my days off. Check out passrider.com. It has good info to help you decide the best way to get to work.

Your choices for a 2 leg commute would be DEN, ORD, SLC, or MSP...

To DEN you will have 10 flight a day between Skywest, Mesa, and Lynks..

To MSP you have 4 flights all on NWA/NWAairlink

To SLC you have 3 flights on Skywest

To ORD you have 1 flight per day on United
