PIF came out today. Looks like 66 to be furloughed in September. Quite a bit of downgrades and displacements. I was lucky and only went from PHL line holder to PHL reserve. Goodluck to all those that were furloughed. Maybe that number will be down a few by september..who really knows....

Yes, it was supposed to be more. But there have been a number of voluntary Leaves of Absence, at least two voluntary furloughs and some small amount of attrition since the announcement.

It sucks, but it could have been worse.

I have been here 4.5 years and am being involuntarily displaced for the 2nd time. Not cool.

We have gone from 87 airplanes to 70 and now reducing even further, though nobody knows if there will airplanes parked.

I keep the seat. I keep a line. But I give up RDU. I will end up in ORF as a lineholder.

As of the most recent seniority list I had 103 captains behind me. Of course, that is changing now. Still, as someone who has once been furloughed from a Euro-major, I do know what it's like.

The first week off the job is cool. Then it hits that being unemployed is very real and it really sucks.

Anyway, I am working on a couple of options. One of them, if it happens, will make everyone very envious!! :D
