I saw it in JFK yesterday. That's one huge b*tch! :D

Unfortunately for airbus again, the media here in L.A. today focused more on the emergency landing by AA instead of the publicity flight

Didn't get to see it land in LAX today, but it was sitting there when we departed 25R. It's on the south side of 25L towards the west end.
I snapped a few shots! +1 nerd. OO. |
I think this is a good heads up for everyone who flies into those airports. I wouldn't have known what a "Super" was unless I read it here. Everyone needs to relax, Thanks for posting.

I saw it take off out of SFO on the 4th. Man that thing is HUGE!! It was slow and low over the fog layer. I surely hope they were climbing out low on purpose. Otherwise, it has a small climb gradient.

have to say the SFO controllers were nice the first day when it came in. ATC asked us if we wanted to wait for the A380 to arrive and let us wait on 1L when it was coming in on approach behind a UAL 747. Then after arriving from an overnight into SFO, got a treat once at the gate, seeing it leave heading to LAX. Then after a SFO-MRY-LAX trip, got in just before it left, plus got to see that AA 757 with all its doors open with all those fire trucks around it. But as "aviation nerd" from time to time, its pretty cool to see something new and different. There was a handful of Skywest pilots and rampers with cameras on the end of the ramp taking pics and watching as the A380 was leaving LAX. Was a fun event to the normal day and weeks of flying into the hubs.

Lets see some pics!
