PIT 28C Question

Ok........any of you guys familiar with 28C at KPIT????

Is it a displaced threshold or just a normal threshold?? It had the big arrows with small karats on it (which to me says displaced threshold) but it was painted yellow

Reason im asking is because we get cleared for takeoff the other day out of there....and i was flying with an UBER paranoid Capt. who told me I should pull up to the numbers then go....I was under the impression that since the hold short line was on the parallel taxiway and we pulled that 180 onto the runway (aside from it looking like a displaced threshold)

Anyway he was driving my nuts all trip so i said to hell with what he was saying and took off anyway.

Mind you.....3 airplanes did the same thing I did....so im pretty sure I was right....or everyone else just doesnt care.

I haven't been out to PIT in a while and we rarely t/o from 28C, so I can't really picture it. Was it one of the below?

You can't t/o on the yellow chevrons, but the others are ok.

If it had yellow chevrons then I believe it's not for takeoff or landing.

A friend of mine (w/o an account) said the ATIS advises that 28C has non-standard markings.

It doesn't say whether it's a displaced threshold, or just a taxiway.

You can't T/O on either of the yellow sections, but you can taxi on the right one. If its yellow, no go. If its white, you can T/O on it, but not land until the solid white bar. CLT has similar markings to the right at the end of 18L. There is a sign that say not to apply T/O power until the solid white line. Basically, its a blast pad you can taxi on.

How so? Looks very accessible to me.

Sorry but the paranoid capt was right.

What does the Jepp 10-9 say about that runway for takeoff?
