who is paying for these new uniforms? Taxpayers?

They now have name tags too that say "Officer So and So" with their last name on it, I have also seen some with more stripes on their epaulets than others, I wonder if they now feel like cops with those big ol shiney badges on

TSA.gov says they have already switched from blue to black.

I heard that TSA is getting tactical black climbing gear to go along with their new commando uniforms so they can properly scale the aircraft they are inspecting :D

Who feels more secure?

Just another reason to laugh at them. They will get no more respect from me like I said before earn the badge.

The ones with one stripe are "First Officer So and So..." and 2 stripers are "Captain So and So..." ;)

I have a friend who is a cop that is sickened by this. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before one of these TSA jerk off's use their shiny new "badge" to arrest someone, or gain access to somewhere they shouldn't be. Although not technically considered as such, traditionally a badge is looked at by the general public as granting the bearer arrest authority. This gives the uneducated public the impression that a TSA agent has such authority. This is nothing but another feather in the cap of a pathetic agency who has continually proved themselves not only to be worthless, but dangerous as well.

"the new uniforms are also made of a flame-retardant (no pun intended, retarded) material used by NASCAR so our fine inspectors do not accidentally burn themselves while climbing on heated aircraft probes while looking for Osama."
