Default Sitting in a hotel with a Wheels up time...

Does anyone know of a website that either lists EDCT's or pulls them from the ATC system for "accurate" wheels up for a flight?

I'm sitting at the hotel waiting for my plane to come in and its annoying to call scheduling/dispatch for the approximate wheels up for an inbound flight that i am not flying.

I fly for TSA and I'm on the United side today, but it doesn't seem that FTWeb at all reflects what ATC has planned.

thanks

Why not you a flight tracking website? You'd have to check it manually but you'd know when took off and figure when to leave the hotel from there. Maybe there's one that will text or email you with info...

That's good if things are all good and well but it doesn't really help with EDCT times. The airplane might arrive on time but have an EDCT time 1.5+hrs away. You probably won't want to be risking it by sitting in a hotel during that time, decent probability the EDCT time could be moved up, but at least you can relax at the airport crew room or food court for a bit. The FAA site is a good choice.

Not too long ago at XJT, we had several crews do this same thing - stay at the hotel. The EDCT that was supposed to be hours away suddenly was cancelled, and the flights left later than they should have. Carpet dances were done. A 'memo' was sent out telling pilots this is not allowed. So I too suggest just hanging around the airport as you never know.

Here's what you're looking for: EDCT LOOKUP

Oh, I definitely would not sit in a hotel if the EDCT were mine, but I'm waiting on an incoming aircraft with an EDCT.

That FAA website is exactly what I'm looking for...What does it want for callsign?

LOFxxxx, xxxx, N8xxHK? doesnt seem to be finding the flight i'm looking for.

I have tried that and not once have I been able to put in a flight and have it show the correct EDCT, or one at all.

Oh I misread your post. Slice had it best then. If you're wondering when an aircraft has taken off just use a flight tracker. I was under the impression you were wondering when you should leave your hotel to get to your plane. Sorry for the confusion. That's what I get for skimming.

If you really want to stay in the hotel that long, call the company and get them to call you when the airplane is in flight. The only thing you are buying right now is more duty time on the backside to complete your legs. If you report to the airport, the clock starts ticking.

Actually a very good one is...

FlightAware - Free Flight Tracker - IFR Flight Status, Tracking, History, Maps

Shows you everything...also shows you the track of the aircraft...current location...arrival time...I use it all the time when I am waiting for an aircraft on my handy dandy iPhone (first generation)...LOL
