Has it already been 7 years..
I cant believe that it has already been 7 years since the 9/11 attacks on the WTC, Pentagon, and the crash in PA. I still remember it like it was yesturday. The chaos that followed, the uncertainty of who did it, and what the outcome would be. I remember being told that I wouldn't be having to come into work because all flights had been grounded, even my little navajo had to stay on the ground for a couple of weeks.
God Bless the USA I would also like to thank all those in the military serving our country. |
To those who argue about how they think that the iraq war/ department of homeland security/counter terrorism efforts are a waste of taxpayer money think back of how you felt on 9/11/01... Since then our intelligence community has deterred many threats that could have potentially been of the same caliber. While in the military I would get briefings on operations under surveillance and groups that were found out by the FBI and other organizations. WE all love this country so very much, but today lets just remember that there are thousands of people here doing their jobs so that you can live the rockstar life of a regional pilot (NOTE SARCASM for those that are sarcasm tone deaf).
Safety and freedom dont come without a price and ours happened to be on 9/11 when we realized just how safe we were NOT. 7 years later we have made leaps and bounds. To all family members and friends of people who lost someone on that day I give my prayers to you, and hope that as time goes on your pain eases that much more. Never Forget |

I agree. I would like to thank all the men and women in uniform for what they do. Although the first sentence of your post has political undertones, I'm just going to say thank you to everyone who serves and ask everyone else to keep this discussion not about politics. |
Wasn't really meant to be political as both sides have people who feel both ways... What I am trying to make apparent is that since 2001 this country has made great strides in keeping us protected. If for only today lets keep all politics aside and remember that the travesty of Sept. 11th has made this country stronger and more united than ever before. Our thanks should go to more than just our armed forces, but also to our law enforcement and intelligence communities. Everyone has their part and have been filling their roles very well.

Have to agree with the title, it still feels like it could be only 1 or 2 years ago. 7 years almost doesn't make sense in my mind.
A day the whole world will always remember |
343.....never forget
Thank you to all the veterans and current military for our FREEDOM! Fly a USA flag to show your patriotism. |
