Default Pinnacle to "temporarily" operate 7 CRJ 900's

Ceo announced today on Company conference call that Delta has asked us to operate 7 crj 900's from freedom starting in october and november until we get the rest of our deliveries starting in January, at which time we will give them back until we have our fleet of 16. Someone asked the question if there was any chance we will be keeping them and he said that that is what they would like. The official filing will be released tomorrow. Let me summarize what will probably happen now at pinnacle in the next 6 months. We will get these planes, and then when the time comes, our ceo will say that delta said we can keep these planes if we sign a pilot contract, and when we don't they will take them away and probably give them to mesaba just like the 15 200's we gave them.

Sounds about right to me. Let the whip saw begin.

Sorry to the freedom guys who lost their jobs. Blame JO!

yeah i have a feeling those planes are going to stay on property. several of them are in memphis right now getting fixed up for us to use. what bugs me about this entire thing is that instead of upgrading people like normal they are displacing guys to atl to cover this flying. i don't know if uncle phil is trying to show off for his delta buddies or what. and i think you guys are right, in the end they will blame it on the pilots if the planes dont stay here.

Where do we stand with Delta for the impeding merger process? I understand on the DL side that Pinnacle seems to be ok; but for the Pinnacle on NWA side, where do we stand? Not really heard too much about our side. Comair and Skywest are the ones I am concerned with. My station has DL mainline customer service agents (ticket counter only) with Comair employees on the ramp. Pinnacle is on the other side of the terminal working NWA flights. What a mess this is going to be...I wish NWA and Airlinker's could stay intact and not merge with DL..JMO.

i was wondering where those CR9's were gonna go. Hope you actually get them. DL anounced they were going to comair and than 2 weeks later changed their minds. Any truth to the rumor that you guys agreed to purcahes the lease instead of paying the $1.00 per month fee to delta for them?

I bet they will all stay at Pinnacle and they'll just ditch 7 200's after the merger is done...

Pinnacle temporarily awarded something good...

Comair permanently *#)$@*#$)*#@..

Guess this seems to be the beginning of the end for Comair.

Good luck guys, don't let them dangle shiny airplanes in front of you..get what you deserve!

Yep.. Maybe getting furloughed from the Comair monster isnt such a bad thing... Good luck to you folks at Pinnacle, I hope you actually see these aircraft... we were promised them early last month and Delta reneged and the furloughs began. Hopefully they wont treat you guys as bad as we have been treated.
