Is American Eagle hiring soon? Got a call from a friend of mine today. He said that his friend went to Texas to get an MEI, took his checkride with a check airman from Eagle and got a job offer?

Would this facility happen to be in Arlington, TX? And would it happen to be an institute entitled "Multi-Engine Training"? If so, I know this guy, I did my checkride with him and I can guarantee you, that he in no way has any input whatsoever as to who gets a job interview. All he cares for is padding his wallet. No free handouts here... |

Hey everyone, my first post here. I've read through this entire thread and have found it very informative, insightful and entertaining. I am currently a flight student at Arizona State University's flight program. I'm also excited about flight instructing someday. I look forward to gaining more insight from all the pros here.
Like all sources of information, especially message boards, what you read here should always be taken with a grain of salt - you probably know this already. People here at APC represent a certain group of people whose views may or may not represent the aviation industry at large. Thats good you are looking forward to flight instructing. I think motivation and enthusiasm to instruct have made some of the best instructors I've ever had. While I never had an instructor who was just there for the hours (Which is probably the worst), I have had lazy and apathetic instructors who have made training miserable. |
