Last time I looked GoJet was hiring guys right off the street for the Left seat. I heard most of them are from ATA, Champion, United, so on and so forth.

I've always wondered how they integrate a street captain onto a seniority list?

Is he/she seat locked, but on the bottom of the list? And anyone upgrading after him (but that's been at the company as an FO..so obviously been there longer)..would they go above em?

At US airlines, yes they are at the bottom...ie, YEARS of reserve. If a bump-and-flush displacement occurs, street captains instantly become street FO's. Many of the street captains of 2007 are now street FO's (assuming they didn't quit).

At foriegn airlines, especially those who hire pilots on contract, it may be different.

i think the title of the thread was just reversed...

yes, there are captains on the street... unfortunately :(

but to my knowledge, there are no street captain jobs out there unless maybe if you head over to the 135 freight side of the house

New Mexico Airlines hires quite a few street captains. I'm not sure if their hiring right now, but I hear the turnover is pretty high there these days.
