Where the duty rig would REALLY help out is on High Speeds. CDO's should pay a lot more than they do. That way, people who want them would take them, and if you did get stuck with one, it wouldn't sting so bad. We should certainly prohibit that 4th one in a row, as everyone is useless by then, no exceptions.

Well this thread became trash really fast. It is amazing how any of you think you are paid or treated even close to the way you should be. Comair, XJT, Mesaba, Mesa, or anywhere else. Every airline pilot is treated like trash. And we always will be. And it just so happens to also be our fault. We all like to fly airplanes. And as long as so many people like to fly airplanes, we are going to be treated like crap. But by all means, go ahead and destory each other a little bit more in the process. It makes for fantastic enterainment.

And now, the Grammar Police can present themselves and bash me for starting nearly every sentence with "and."

Anyone else think airline pilots have WAY too much time on their hands? ;)

Funny, I'm not treated like trash.

I've been treated poorly at one airline and pretty well at another, so sparing the details for now I'll just say I've seen the difference.

I'm sure as well that no-one, in any industry for that matter, would mind being paid more. Many deserve to be paid more. There's plenty of pilots that complain about it, but almost zero that actually try to do something about it. So what's your solution?
