CRJ700/900 audio system
Okay folks, here's a head scratcher for you. I've asked captains, check airmen, and some maintenance folks, and haven't gotten an answer.
Circuit breaker 2V2, on the DC Essential bus, behind the F/Os flight case, is a 5 amp circuit breaker called "AUDIO PILOT" This breaker is part of the audio system but not in the audio/visual indicating system (not the DCU power), and does not control the capt, f/o, and ovserver panel. Anyone know what this is? |
Does it have anything to do with the CVR? On the -200 there is a CB on that same row for the CVR itself, a well as the "audio pilot" CB, but perhaps it is related?

Wish I could help, I'll have to look tomorrow when I head back in. The only CB I have figured out so far is M5 for the reset of the lav call light....
|
Don't think so. FCOM says CVR only has 1 associated CB, down the line at 2V7. But it is not linked to the CVR, according to the FCOM
|
got your answer.... this breaker along with 1q6 (fo) provide power to the audio ctrl unit. pulling 2v2 should disable the ability to use pilot side audio functions.

Anyone know what this is? CB's 1Q6 (CA) & 1Q7 (FO) power associated audio from the BATT Bus. In theory you would have to lose both busses to lose CA & FO audio power. The observer audio has two breakers as well: 2H4 & 1Q8 |
