The wheels are coming off at Pinnacle

Well, either it's a scare tactic or they are actually planning on a significant reduction in flying come March. I know we're not currently overstaffed in any area because we just offered 150% pay to pick up open time in the last week of December. Even all the reserve captains I know are flying their butts off.

I don't know for sure but I will get you an answer and reply via PM. Too many mgmt trolls on here!

I've heard it mentioned that Delta wants Pinnacle to get a new contract in place. Does anyone know if Delta is actually encouraging this or putting any pressure on Pinnacle management to get a new contract in place?

everything that is going on seems to be coming from outside pressure on our management. who is putting the pressure on is anyones guess.

I think its all a ploy personally. Once/If we get a contract we will need at least the 30 CA's even to run the skeleton crews. With March 2 that gives the jan/feb negotiating sessions pressure from mgmt. It's their only move. Super seniority only counts for effective date + 90 days. If this lasts 4 months and upgrades begin it will first go senior, but also give NO special treatment or real opportunity for the street CA's. The street CA's would be the ones being flushed plus a few at the bottom (obviously). Not cool for anyone.
