Thanks Guys,

I love the 911 gig (made me laugh)... but why not, I will check into that tomorrow.

I applied to Kenmore and I stop by and drop off my resume at Clay Lacy and Galvin about every two weeks. So far no luck. A friend told me that they have a ton of resumes and only talk to buddies of current pilots. Guess I need to make more friends :)

But thanks everyone for the ideas... keep'em comin

Try one of the cargo carriers, I worked for Airpac, great place to work and fair pay, and your home every day.

Thanks Guys,

I live a little north of Seattle near Paine Field in Snohomish.

I went to the FAA FISDO office and tried to get any position. Turns out they won't let you in the front door without an appointment. When I called for a meeting I got the cold shoulder... "all FAA jobs are on the website"

All I could do was fill out the ten page application and fax it in.

Thanks for the idea... Keep'em comin

Do you have your CFI, if so look at Harvy Field, or Pavco at TIW. Pavco also does some charter work. Come summer I have fire patroll work that will be open. Good luck finding work, and with the little one on the way.

I wish I could give you more advice but I am in the same deal as you. As for flying all above are options. There is SeaPort if you want to give up your seniority number at Republic. I just got a job at a law firm answering phones. Kenmore just furloughed some pilots back a few months ago. I believe 3 captains. I sent them my resume and said that it may be until February until they hire again. If I can be any help let me know. Best of luck to you, well to all of us.... Merry Xmas.

Thanks Guys,

I really appreciate all your ideas. I do have my CFI,CFII, MEI and I have spoke with the chief pilot at air pack several times (very nice guy). I also know the San Juan 207 folks...

The Problem is that non of those outfits pay more than about 25,000 a year. I just can't survive on that. Ramen Noodle and Mac n Cheese is not a life stlye I'm ready to go back to.

That being said, I would be happy to answer phones or do whatever to make enough to pay the bills. 35,000 + is not to much to ask for is it???

Good luck to everyone sharing my pain. I hope santa has a bag of jobs for us.

Merry Xmas and happy Chanukah,

Jake

Check Alteon, Boeing itself (showing 94 openings in WA)...work Monster.com hard - if the job is posted there the company that posted is probably near desperate to hire someone.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!

Has anybody mentioned Ameriflight at BFI?

The Dude Abides 12-25-2008 07:24 PM

I have a couple of friends at Ameriflight, they've said BFI is pretty senior and can take a while to get into. Always worth a shot though.
