Air Wis. Hiring

Is the link to their job site ... but when following the link for open positions "pilot" or "FO" is not one of the open positions listed ... calling their job hotline will also confirm that they are not accepting resumes for pilots at this time ... but Climbto350.com just posted a interview with them dated not too long ago indicating a class date of May 7 or 8 ... If someone is getting interviews with Air Wis. right now I have no idea how!

Lots of airlines will do that if they are getting enough internal recomendations. Try to find somebody to walk your resume in. I have NEVER gotten an aviation job by applying through the public channels, it's always been through an acquaintance.

The people that are interviewing now previously had interviews scheduled that were scrubbed because of the 146 guys transitioning over and the subsequent loss of the 146.

Attrition is budgeted at 24/month right now, so my guess is they will probably continue to hire for the forseeable future. Keep looking online and I have a hunch they will open up the hiring floodgates soon enough. I have 150 people below me out of 900 pilots in 7 months. There was a LOT of hiring and they are currently fat on FO's, so as CA's upgrade (and leave) more FO's will be needed.

There were 55 146 guys that all went to CRJ CA, so that negated the hiring of FO's for April/May. I have a feeling once the senior guys get a taste of commuting they will leave ASAP.

Just got a phone interview today and given an interview date of May 18th! I had a buddy of mine walk my resume in last week though

Hi Skyranger777. How many hours do you have if you don't mind me asking? I had a resume sent by a friend in the company a couple months ago. I was told I was "put into the flow". I have 950TT 180ME, and I'm polishing up to take my ATP written. Just wondering how I compare. I'm planning to send an updated resume through my friend end of June.

I have 1400tt and a tad over 100 multi. It looks as if you have the 1000/100 numbers that you will get a call. I know of someone else who has my similar hours that had his stuff walked in and 5 days later got a call for an interview.

What are the junior upgrades running now? And for what base?

About three years. Norfolk is the most junior.

I would like to request some feedback here. A friend has offered to walk my application in to Air Wisconsin for me. I have checked out their website, and I dont meet their minimums (I have 600 total and 100 multi). Will this be a waste of my friend's effort? Is worth doing at this point, or should I instruct until I can meet the minimums that they are asking for.

This is not a troll about low time pilots. Its just an honest request for the opinions of this community.

Thanks.

Have him/her walk my resume in then.

There were people in my newhire class that had either less TT or less multi than that. Have your friend send your stuff in and see what happens.

Air Wisconsin

Thanks for the feedback. I am inclined to stay where I am and continue to get as prepared as I can.:)
