Republic Jr. Base
Anyone from Republic or S. America that can comment on where the junior bases are for the EMB-170 or what the current Vacancy Notice has to say about openings? I got thrown under the bus by XJ and am contemplating an interview with Republic if I can determine commutability. Thought I'd ask here first, before going and wasting anyone's time.
Thanks in advance

Don't waste your time with a regional...do you have the mins for a frac? Flexjet recently got a nice raise as well, 1st year FO pay = $37k upgrades are <2 years according to the postings on another message board. I'm looking there myself.
Mesa is hiring Dash 8 Captains as well, if you want some quick PIC time maybe consider it?

I have the mins but we (family) are no longer willing to move for my career. We have settled on MSP, so my hands are tied in terms of being within 120 minutes of the gateway cities listed for NetJets, Citation Shares, Flexjet and Flight Options. There is an outfit in STP, JetChoice, but they want 5000 Total Time. I am short on that number. I got the "e-mail" back from NetJets saying my resume has been accepted, but I have received no invitation to interview.
Republic/S. America seemed like a decent option to have IND, CMH and ORD as possible bases. Those are tolerable commutes from MSP in my mind.

Chautauqua/Republic/Shuttle America doesn't have opening/vacancies like most airlines. As a new hire they put you on the certificate they want - based on voodoo dolls and such. New hires are locked in that seat/certificate until they upgrade. You can upgrade into any aircraft/certificate your seniority will allow.
Republic (US Airways Express 170) bases are: IND (supposed to be closing), PHL, PIT and DCA.
Shuttle America (UAL Express, Delta Connection 170's): ORD, CMH, IND
Chautauqua (145 Ops): IND, CMH, SDF, LGA, RIC, GSO, MCO.

"Mesaba can you give me anything better than .73?" "Yes, but we'll need a block to the surface and we won't make the airport."

For Shuttle America, any base is pretty easy to get (ORD, CMH or IND). ORD is considered a litte more senior (probably more time on RSV) for FO's. I think this is mainly because most of the SA FO's came from other airlines and are commuting.

Speaking of which, if there are any Chautauqua or Comair guys out there, over the last few classes, at which base(s) are the NH's being place? This is just for my personal info.
Thanks,
