Another engine failure for Mesaba? 2/8/09
So rumor has it that Mesaba 3038 had an engine failure today from Pierre,SD to Watertown,SD but I can't find any mention of it on any news sites.
What's going on? flight track: FlightAware > Live Flight Tracker > Mesaba Airlines D/B/A Northwest Airlink #3038 > 08-Feb-2009 > KPIR-KATY EDIT: OK, confirmed the story through KMEG news and wrote it up on my blog. |
And how about the diversion of a Pinnacle Northwest Airlink CRJ to KICT last Thursday night around 6pm? Never seen so many fire trucks in one place before. It must have been a diversion because there is no flight shown for that carrier to Mid Continent around that time.

you sure all the fire trucks were for the pinnacle flight? and we do have a couple of flights that normally arrive at that time. one from msp and one from mem. msp flight gets there at 5 and the mem flight a little after 4. i haven't heard anything about it yet, and usually someone posts the info on our pilot message boards. |

I am by no means sure. All I know is a ton of emergency vehicles, and I mean a lot maybe 25 or so were obviously waiting for an aircraft to land on 19R around 6:15 pm last Thursday. They like to position themselves at various points along the runway so if the airplane crashes they will not have to drive more than a quarter mile or so. After about 15 minutes of them sitting there with their lights flashing a NW Airlink CRJ landed safely on 19R, and as it taxied off the runway then all fire equipment went away. It is quite possible the emergency aircraft never came at all. Maybe it was a drill but the speed some of the trucks were going on the local highways said otherwise.

Does anyone know why the Saab is in the back of the Sky magazines in the new DAL colors and not the ATR? I'd rather fly in the back of an ATR for sure.
