You want at the Media...Here is your Chance

Another thread was posted with an article for the WSJ that will be released today.

Here again is the link

Pilot Action May Have Led to Crash - WSJ.com

It is a joke of an article whose aim is to stir up the public with more speculation against pilots. Read the comments posted by the public and read what this type of writing creates. We have private pilots and non pilots writing about "what they would do." One moron even talks about how when he plays Flight Simulator he does not pull up in the event of a stall.

The artice gives the email addresses of the writers of this trash. I ask you to send a quick or long email to them letting them know this type of "journalism" will not go unnoticed by real airline pilots.

Write to J. Lynn Lunsford at [email protected] and Andy Pasztor at [email protected]

Remember these people would smear you just as well if you were involved.

im willing to pitch in and put these two in a Q sim, give 'em a few minutes to get comfortable with the "flying" just to the point where they are having a little fun and enjoying themselves and then give them the scariest, crap-yourself, 800ft in 5 seconds, inverted spinning, light flashing, betty-yelling, extremem pitching 28 second ride of their life and then when its all over ask them just what more, exactly, they wanted and/or expected the crew to do?

I think the media follows that age old Mark Twain quote:

"Get your facts first, then distort them as you please..."

I'm scratching my head trying to understand why they would compare this to pinnacle 3701...

I'm not so sure I should send one in ... with the anger i've felt toward the media lately ... it might end up with me threatening them which really wouldn't be good. I'll consider it when I've calmed down a bit :(
