Default Mesa Finally pays B or B

finally 3 months later we get paid a retro payment for block or better. I can not believe it finally happened. $250 for a bid period not to shabby.
now if they finally paid for wx cancels and line guarantee.

Default Congrats!

Good to hear. BorB was the only across the board gain in my opinion in the new TA. Glad to hear its now being implemented. What was the delay (as cited by management)? Are they still saying it was tied to PBS? If so, how's that going? I didn't think it was implemented yet.

I'd ask these questions on 'the hub', but it seems to be MIA. Am I out of the loop? Feel free to PM.

Now, how will this thread be turned negative, and who will do it first?

its still tied to PBS until Jan 1 but pbs hasn't been implemented yet.

No it's true. And the whole thing is a disaster, and hasn't been fixed. BUT - they are working on it, and they are completely redoing their computer software. PM me if you have any additional questions.

If BorB requires a complete re-do of Sabre (how hard could it be, every other airline that uses Sabre has BorB, just copy theirs), I can't wait to see PBS implemented. Maybe they can JA the IT department, tell them "it's part 91 duty - you're still legal!"

LMFAO.... I should totally send that email. haha I'd love to see their faces when they open that one.

I don't know the exact details of what their problem is, but from my understanding it isn't SABRE, it's the pay software, and they have switched to a whole new software. I don't know what is taking them so long - but this is Mesa you are dealing with. There are a lot of issues with it - and I do know they are working on it, it's just ridiculous. I mean really - they need to get their crap together.

I love how this block or better was supposed to be over our guarantee. I overblocked by 5 hours for the bid but since I wasn't over 70 hours for the bid (even with a line) I was paid 0. This place rocks!

It either is or it is not in the contract. There is no "supposed to be" in a contract. If it's in there, file the grievance. If it's not, then blame those who choose to vote in a contract that didn't have the language requiring BorB to be paid above min. bid guarantee.

I'm sure you already know the language in the TA. It was discussed ad nauseam on the internet, the roadshows, and the conference calls. No excuses for not knowing the contract prior to voting for MAG pilots this time.

I guess I should clarify. It is over guarantee but the company is not paying it out that way. I believe the union is filing a grievance over this and possibly retracting PBS which would basically just negate this whole contract.
