grape vine says tsa has furloughed some pilots. any details? reasons why?
i think this is the first lay off in tsa history.

I heard that its about 20 furlows that will effect the Feb and March 06 classes as well as a few in the Jan 06 class.

also heard the pilots furloughed would be recalled as early as september.
anyone know the reason for the furlough?

I'm one of the lucky 20. I think its for 2 reasons. One, the fact that they were hiring in expectation of a deal for some Continental flying. Two, because they are getting rid of the fleet of J41s this summer and are transitioning then to the EMB. Anyone got any good job leads :-P
