Colgan Air Hiring
 

Greetings Colganytes,

It looks like Colgan is hiring again. Would any folks currently working at 9L care to pass along some intel? Are they getting the next batch of Q400's early? I figure if this is true, they are expecting Captain and FO transitions to the Q, therefore creating Saab 340 vacancies for both FO's and Captain's. Am I getting warmer?

Please NO FLAME BAIT, just facts from the folks who work on the inside. Thanks for the help.

I haven't heard this and I work at 9L.... I will ask around and see what the word is.... unless someone else beats me to it.

Talked to two personal friends that work there...one Capt and the other FO. None of them were aware of any hirinng going on. However, they said they would pass on the news as soon as they get word. So everyone needs to sit tight! Atleast for now.

I also work at 9L and talked to the folks in recruiting this moring; they are currently not hiring and don't expect to start till next year...

with the loss of one airframe and one being mangled by a tug and the lack off attrition Id be surprised if this was true, but who knows

The Colganair website now indicates that Colgan is hiring SF-340 and Q-400 FO's and direct entry Captains on the SF-340.

The tug mangled Q-400 has been back in service for over two weeks.
