You have compeltely missed the point of that entire post, please read it again. He said he hates me wasting my mind, stop trying to twist around what I really said.

No twisting here. I have re-posted your quotes below just so we are all on the same page. I did not miss the point of your post, which seems to be that the other poster's negative energy should be used more productively. Perhaps I'm wrong, so let me know if I've mis-interpreted.

Bringing up hate for Nike doesn't seem to fit in to this picture. What good does hate do at all? Are you saying that it is ok to hate the right companies/people? I hope not. Perhaps there is a general disdain for private wealth as both of these posts seem to allude to. Or maybe I'm way off the mark again.

Regardless, I still think this is a good thread, and I do gladly recycle, though I'm a long way from as "into it" as others may be. For the most part, it seems to be a noble cause that I will help out with, as long as it is efficient to do so (i.e. I won't recycle if we end up burning 5 gallons of gas to save 4, etc.).

Such comments do not foster reasonable discussion, so who is really unarmed here? Thanks for the name-calling though.

Two seperate posts with seperate points. There is no problem making money off recycling or any other eco-responsible things. I think you should understand that many companies out there use basic slave labor to deiliver us Americans our cheap products. I think you should hate the fact that these corperations are exploiting people that you never see to get your cheap goods. I don't hate making money at all, but I do hate supporting companies that are very very ruthless and could be considered modern day slavers, such as Nike. This has been proven numerous times, if you choose to look for the information outside your normal propagada, er news, networks. Recycling is just a small service we can do in our normal lives, as you speak of at the end of your post.

I have nothing against private wealth, or rich people. I just think a responsible company would treat their workers in other countries with the same rights that American citizens would get stateside.

Well to answer the original poster's question, yes my airline recycles. According to the latest edition of Delta's Sky Magazine 1,263,311 pounds of plastic, aluminum and paper from Delta flights were recycled and diverted from local landfills last year. This resulted in $85,749 going to Delta's Force for Global Good and Habitat for Humanity for the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home in 2009. This can all be found on deltaskymag.com in the April edition.

There is a fine line between telling the difference between actual scientific evidence and agenda being propagated by agenda-driven environmental scientists. The ability to see that line is directly proportional to the amount of education a person has on the subject. Personally, I believe the evidence is telling us the earth and climate are fine and thus I am doing anything in the name of the environmentalism/climate change/global warming.

Do I recycle? Not really. For me to do so would require me to sort through my garbage, separate it, and then drive it to a recycling center. It's more convenient to toss everything away. Besides, we're not going to overfill the landfills, raise the earth's temperature and melt the polar ice caps by not recycling.

Would I recycle if the refuse company provided us with recycling bins and pick-up? It depends. If people continue to claim to know what the "right thing" is and then chastise those who don't participate then the answer is no. If it costs me any more money than what I'm already paying the refuse company the answer is no.

And one more piece of advice. If you want to win people over to your side of the argument, a good start would be to drop the name-calling and labeling. You'll catch more bees with honey than you will with vinegar. :)
