The company and association have been meeting unofficially (but with each side's councils) to work out the small words. The differences between "shall", "must", "may","will", and "best effort" as well as work on the general section of the contract. I have heard conflicting dates on the next round of mediated negotiations, but they have not been set in stone yet. If you have specific questions you can always call a rep, or even put up your questions on the company board.

For the general concerned pilot- A little progress but the meat of the contract will be discussed at the next mediated negotiation which has not been hammered down yet as of conversations with people last week who would have to attend the negotiations.

So basically nothing important is happening. The company will continue to drag its feet as long as legally possible. Any word on when we are having a picketing event in mem next month?

Hopefully things go well and you guys can get released by the NMB in a few months. Stay strong and united.

I certainly hope "best effort" isn't used at all on the company's responsibilities.

i am going to assume you ment to write that delta would cut our hours if the contract is not completed by april 24th.

i haven't heard this one, and 6000 hours would be about half of what we are doing right now. the last time i got my hopes up nothing happened. so the people i look to now to see if we are getting close are the ones who are the most pesemistic. if i see them thinking things might be moving i might believe it. till then i will keep showing up and doing the least amount of work possible.

It's amazing how skewed factual information gets after traveling through a few mouths.

O the difference in rumor and fact.. Anybody have an update on company's legal council situation? Have any of you called a rep? Spirits ate quite high from those who I have talked with who are MEC and directly linked... I am more of a "wait and see" type since this is far from my department!

May 1, 2009 is approaching.. Management got the ten year contract they wanted.. Complete B.S. I don't get how anyone can see that as fair.

My retro check better be tens of thousands.
