Pinnacle Contract Negotiations
#2
The company and association have been meeting unofficially (but with each side's councils) to work out the small words. The differences between "shall", "must", "may","will", and "best effort" as well as work on the general section of the contract. I have heard conflicting dates on the next round of mediated negotiations, but they have not been set in stone yet. If you have specific questions you can always call a rep, or even put up your questions on the company board.
For the general concerned pilot- A little progress but the meat of the contract will be discussed at the next mediated negotiation which has not been hammered down yet as of conversations with people last week who would have to attend the negotiations.

Rumor has it Delta is cutting 6k hours from us if the contract is completed by April 24th....pressure is being put on the company for completion. Also overheard an Alpa contract rep in the crewroom say the contract has been fully completed and just waiting on it's release......If rumors are true which is never the case could be good news.....I'll hold this glimmer of hope till the 24th
i haven't heard this one, and 6000 hours would be about half of what we are doing right now. the last time i got my hopes up nothing happened. so the people i look to now to see if we are getting close are the ones who are the most pesemistic. if i see them thinking things might be moving i might believe it. till then i will keep showing up and doing the least amount of work possible.

O the difference in rumor and fact.. Anybody have an update on company's legal council situation? Have any of you called a rep? Spirits ate quite high from those who I have talked with who are MEC and directly linked... I am more of a "wait and see" type since this is far from my department!
